What are the main types of wear and tear when a 200mm diameter electrode is used in an electric arc furnace?
Wear and tear can be divided into four main categories:
• End wear and tear: The high arc temperature causes sublimation and chemical reactions at the electrode ends.
• Side oxidation: Oxygen, CO₂, and other gases in the furnace gas react with the electrode sides, which is the main source of wear and tear.
• Fracture loss: This includes the breakage of the electrode body or joints. This is abnormal wear and tear and should be avoided as much as possible.
• Surface peeling: This occurs when the electrode surface breaks and breaks due to thermal stress or mechanical impact.

Packaging & Shipping
The electrodes loaded in container are cross-fixed with high-strength nylon straps in all directions (back and forth, left and right), while at the bottom of the load the pallets is fixed with oblique wood wedge to prevent the pallets from moving.
According to our customers' requests, we also could provide other types of packing and loading.
